How to export Yahoo contacts ?


That’s very easy since Yahoo! Mail web interface offers this backup feature !

  1. First go to Yahoo contacts export webpage
  2. Choose to which file fomat or address book application you want to export all your contact from Yahoo mail
  3. Type in the captha protection
  4. Download your Yahoo contact backup file

And that’s it ! Simple and easy !


Within Yahoo Address Book, you can download/backup your contacts for several applications or several file formats :

  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Netscape/Thunderbird
  • Yahoo! CSV file
  • vCard Single File (useful for instance for Palm Desktop users …)
  • Zip archive of .VCF files (with in that case 1 single .VCF file for each contact)
